You have received a signing request
Someone has sent you a document through actaSIGN: to sign, to approve or just for your information. You have received an e-mail with a link for it. This page shows what to do with it.
Do I need an account?
Section titled “Do I need an account?”No. The link in the e-mail is your personal access to exactly this task. You do not need to register or install anything. A browser is enough, on your computer or on your phone.
You only need an account (actaPASS) if
- the sender has protected the task with Login required, see Open a protected task, or
- you are a member of an organization in actaSIGN yourself. Then you also find the task under Tasks, see Complete tasks.
What kind of task is it?
Section titled “What kind of task is it?”The e-mail and the document tell you what is expected:
| Task | What you do |
|---|---|
| Sign | Read the document, fill in the fields, click Sign under Select. Depending on the signature type, you also confirm by SMS, at Swisscom or in the Mobile ID App. |
| Approve | Check the document and click Approve under Select. No signature is applied. |
| Information | Nothing. The e-mail only informs you. It contains no link for signing. Once everyone else is done, you receive a link to the result. |
The way through signing
Section titled “The way through signing”- Open the link and view the document
- If required: password, code or sign-in
- Fill in fields
- Sign the document, if you like with a handwritten signature
- Download the result
Instead of signing, you can also decline, delegate the task or get a second signature, if the sender allows it. If a message appears that you do not understand, see Messages while signing.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- The page appears in the language the sender chose for you.
- The sender sees when you have completed the task. They also receive a message if you decline.
- If the e-mail did not arrive or you have deleted it, ask the sender to send you a reminder. You then receive a new e-mail.
