Search and export the audit log

The audit log records who did what and when: sign-ins, changes in the administration, signatures and documents. The entries are secured cryptographically, so later changes can be detected.

For administrators only

You need administrator rights for the organization.

Where to find it

Administration → Audit Log

Tip

The audit log is only visible if it is switched on for your actaSIGN server. If the entry is missing from the navigation, contact support.

1. Narrow down the entries: Search, Time range (e.g. Last 24 hours), Status, Severity, Category and Actor. Click Apply.
2. Click an entry to see Metadata and Integrity.
3. Verify integrity checks that no entry was changed. Result: Integrity verified. or Integrity verification failed.
4. Export JSON or Export CSV downloads the filtered entries as evidence.

Good to know

• The categories are Authentication, Administration, Signing, Documents, Security and System.
• Entries from before version 3.23.0 are outside the cryptographic protection; actaSIGN points this out when it checks.
